Dr Ralph Blaney
(WRc, Swindon, UK)
Dr Ralph Blaney is an experienced applied economist with a background in the agriculture and environment sectors, both in the UK and in developing countries. As part of this he has undertaken various experimental surveys to understand people's values and the motivations behind their values (including national attitude surveys). He has experience in survey question design and data analysis and has published in the academic literature, such as the Journal of Economic Psychology. He also has experience of carrying out numerous cost-benefit analyses and has an in-depth understanding of economic evaluation methodologies. His most recent work has been on the use of citizen science in environmental monitoring.
